I am tickled PINK with my new kitchen! I could go on & on & on about how happy I am. I would not change one thing about it! Thank you for making it possible.
We started our search for new cabinets about one year before we found you. My husband is a do-it-yourself kind of guy. We wanted a quality custom kitchen but didn’t need or want to pay for the middle man in the cabinet process. I wanted inset doors. This required us to talk to custom cabinet sellers – we didn’t find a direct cabinet maker like you. We talked to two and got drawings and estimates from both. I discovered during the process that custom frequently means within a 3” increment or you are going to pay dearly. After we designed our kitchen, my heart sank when I saw the price tag from the other companies, and we began scaling back.
Then we were introduced to Cabinets by Graber. A contractor friend had seen your cabinets at a show and was impressed with their quality. We sent our then current drawings to you and you bid on our job. Much to my delight, the price was such that I could add back in the things we wanted! We did attend two shows and saw your cabinets and also visited in the homes of some of your clients that were local to us. All gave you a glowing recommendation.
Here are some of the things I added back and now have because we went with Cabinets by Graber:
- inset doors
- painted and glazed cabinets
- applied molding on the cabinets
- custom design for a hood over cook top & valance over window
- custom design for a glass cabinet & small table to fit in an odd sized space
- mudroom cabinet
Here are some of the things I LOVE about my kitchen:
1) I didn’t want to see outlets anywhere on the island so you designed false drawers (and as a bonus – spice cabinets) to hide my outlets.
2) I wanted all of the appliances hidden behind door fronts so my dishwasher, warming drawer and ice machine all have cabinet fronts. You made them look like a drawer & door – it’s hard to find them!
3) We didn’t have as much space as I wanted between the ovens & refrigerator so instead of making multiple cabinets to fit in that space, you made a large cabinet with the required openings which gave more space for the design.
4) I love my 2 sided glass cabinet! This space has a 10” depth but you were able to take a difficult space and make a showcase piece (instead of what others suggested to me – a nice picture).
5) I LOVE my cabinet dividers above the wall ovens. I giggle with delight when I use them.
6) I thought I knew what I wanted for my spices but you suggested something else and I went with it. I’m so happy I did!
7) I put lazy Susans in the corner cabinet on the two shelves I can easily reach.
8) There are no 3” increment pieces in my kitchen. Everything was designed to fit the space, the appliance or my dream.
Of great importance to us is that you were true to your word. You told us that when we made it to the top of your cue that you would be dedicated to our design. And you were. Part of our year delay was trying to get designers to be dedicated to our job. We even recommended a neighbor to one. The neighbor had a quicker deadline than we did and was moved ahead of us! (Now we’re thankful that happened!)
Once our design was in production you met the delivery date established. We were always treated with respect through the process even when we delayed it or were unable to make a decision.
I consider myself to be an educated consumer when it comes to kitchen cabinets. You provide a fabulous product at a fantastic value. I tell all my friends about you. I’m a fan for life!
